How To Pick A Swimwear ?

For Women With Short Torso


  1. Draw attention away from the torso, emphasize on the legs - Try a swimwear that is cut high on the thigh. This will make your legs look longer. 
  2. Big Hips - Try wearing a solid coloured bikini bottom with a printed top. This will keep everyone's focus on the printed top.
  3. Body is too short in proportion to legs - Try a bikini with a halter-top to emphasize the bust and shoulders and pair with bikini bottoms that sit low on the hips.
  4. If wear a one-piece swimwear - Try a solid color with a lower neckline which will create longer leaner appearance.
  5. Do not wear bikini shorts or skirted bikinis as they draw attention downward and make you look shorter. 
For Women With Long Torso
  1. Lengthen legs - Try swimwear or bikini with high-cut legs to give the impression of long legs.
  2. If wearing a one-piece swimwear, cut-out details on the sides will help break up your long torso, just like a bikini.
  3. Bikini shorts, Ruffles and fringes on swimwear are alright, but avoid vertical stripes that will make you look longer.
For Women With Small Bust Line
  1. Add shape and details to small bust -Try a bikini top with triangle-shaped cups and a tie-front.
  2. Use padded tops, or an under-wired top. Tops with adjustable straps at shoulders and around back are useful so the tops can be tightened and adjusted.
  3. Ruffled tops are great for you.
  4. Choosing tops and bottom sizes separately will give you the most fitting swimwear if your body is not proportionately right.
For Women With Large Bust Line

  1. Minimize Bust - Try a swimwear with a straight across cut at the top with wide set straps. 
  2. Extra Support Needed - Try tops with underwire, halter top bikinis or wide banded tops. Shelf bra in tankinis or one piece swimwear can also give extra support.
  3. Adjustable for Better fit and Extra Support - Wide banded tops around the midriff with ties in back and behind neck.
  4. Avoid Spagetti straps and strapless bandeau tops. 
  5. Choosing tops and bottom sizes separately will give you the most fitting swimwear if your body is not proportionately right.
For Pear -Shaped Women
  1. Draw attention to more appealing part -Try eye-catching bikini or tankini top with subdued bottoms in a dark colour. Ruffles, beads and bright prints on top are great.
  2. Horizontal necklines are encouraged.
  3. Avoid boy shorts, too skimpy bottoms, or lots of ruffles and details at the hips. Simple and dark coloured bottoms are better.
For Women With Big Tummy
  1. Get a swimwear with a tummy control panel built-in if possible. 
  2. Tankinis are a good option because it covers that part.
  3. A one-piece with some draping around the waist or hips.
  4. Avoid solid colours.
For Plus- Sized Women

  1. Darker colours swimwear will have minimizing effect on a plus sized figure. Reds, Dark Blues and blacks are great. Avoid white, bright and neon colours.
  2. A high-cut leg will help slim your legs and hips.
  3. A strategically placed cut-out, or a deep V neckline, can change your visual appearance of your figure.
